Mountain Climbing

It started with a two month trekking trip to Nepal in 1999 and turned into a passion to climb mountains around the world. I was hooked and planned work around going on one or two international climbing expeditions per year. After reaching the summit of Mount Everest in 2009, I decided to complete the 8 Seven Summits. For anyone with the same interest or curiosity, these are images from my adventures. I joined various guiding companies or hired local guides, depending on the location and the type of experience I wanted. Unless noted otherwise, expedition costs were not more than $5000 each (ranging from Kilimanjaro at $900 and Everest Nepal at $50k). Many people don't understand the allure of climbing mountains and after reading Into Thin Air, I didn't either. But despite sometimes feeling sick or cold or exhausted, it was extremely gratifying and rewarding, with or without a summit, and I wouldn't trade these experiences and the lifelong lessons and friendships I've made for anything.
