Lhakpa Guru on the Summit

It was his 5th summit. He asked me to send him this photo so he could put it in the paper. I only charged him $5 (just kidding!). We all know how hard the Sherpas work and the risks they take on the mountain, especially traveling up and down through the icefall. They are also very proud. Our summit day was probably one of the easier days for Lakpa Nuru, compared with all his hard work leading up to this moment and the work that still had to be done.
